The Advantages of 3G Mobile
By Mobile (Cell) Phone Expert | February 11, 2012
The International Telecommunication Union defines the term “3G” as a system. For mobile communication “3G” means the Third Generation of mobile telecommunication standards. 3G technology is actively developed in many parts of the world but specifications for 4G networks are being developed and introduced too.
Access
3G networks have different names, such as EDGE and CDMA2000. They are available all over the world. Japan and Korea were the first countries and have total access to these networks. Now 3G enjoy almost universal access.
Capacity
The 3G specification can provide not only simple voice communication but also graphic messaging, Internet services and other types of data communication. Many 3G systems can exchange data and voice information simultaneously and have the highest data rate of 200 Kbps.
Speed
3G networks have very high data transmission rates. For example, a 2,5G network will take nine minutes to download a song while a 3G network will download the same song in 90 seconds.
Compatibility
The 3G network specifications are basically compatible with phones and other devices designed for 2G networks.
