How To Set Up an 8525 IR Port or Configuring an 8525 IR Port

With AT&T 8525, before known as Cingular , you have an opportunity to make connection between your cell phone and computer using IR Port. It is possible because initially it has a infrared port or IR Port inbuilt. Infrared connection can be used in the same way like a Bluetooth connection, but here we can mention a special feature, infrared connection can be active only if is face to face to your computer infrared port. It is necessarily to make the connection between the cell phone and the computer, if that feature is not realized the connection should not be started.
Instructions
1. Make sure that you cell phone 8525 is switched on. Now enter “Menu”, and “Connection”.
2. Now find and select “IR”, make a click on “On”. On the cell phone screen will flash a small icon that means that you have started the infrared connection.
3. Put your cell phone near your computer and make sure that cell phone IR Port is aimed to the computer IR port.
4. On your computer enter “Start”, enter “Control Panel”. Find “Infrared” and click twice on it to activate it. You can see that your computer find out a new device. You can find the cell phone information in “My Computer”.
